Scary stuff!
On Sunday, Melissa Gorga opened up to her Instagram followers about a scary car accident she was involved in earlier that day.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star explained that she was picking up dry cleaning after having lunch with friends when she was T-boned by another car.
“First time that I’ve ever been in an accident like this before. I’ve never in my life been in this bad of an accident. I was at the dry cleaner. I pulled out.
Somebody came, t boned me. I had no idea that it was even it was just I was shocked. My airbags exploded. White powder started flying into my face from the airbags. Car was leaking something,” Melissa detailed.
She continued, “I was so nervous. I couldn’t get out. I was, like, in shock. My door wouldn’t open because of the airbag, and I was scared that it was gonna, like, blow up. I was really scared that it was gonna, like, turn on fire because, you know, when you drive down the road and you see cars on fire. So I was having, like, a panic attack in my car. I’m okay. The other car’s okay. Thank god. My legs are all bruised up.”
While the mom of three was “bruised pretty bad” and shaken up, she ultimately was grateful to walk away from the wreck in one piece.
“Bottom line is you just never know what your day is gonna consist of. Like, I never in a million years thought I was gonna meet my girlfriends from lunch, stop at the dry cleaner, and then get have a total car, literally, and get into something that would could have been really scary,” Melissa noted.
“I just think it’s you know, makes you count your blessings. It could have ended up very differently. Right? So instead of being upset that I’m bruised up and I’m annoyed and my car is wrecked, I am gonna be happy that I’m alive, and then I came home to my kids tonight. And I literally said that to them. I’m like, do you see how life goes? Like, you can blink your eye and [everything changes].”
