Real Housewives of Miami star Alexia Nepola has zero interest in Bethenny Frankel joining the show now that The Real Housewives of New York OG is an official Miami resident.
“I don’t think we would want her there. She’s not Miami,” Alexia told Us Weekly while doing press for season 7 of RHOM. “Miami’s become a very transient city, and I love that and I welcome that. But when you’re going to be in this kind of show, I feel like you have to be a real Miamian. You have to have your roots here.”
“I feel like there’s a lot of people that want to go to Miami,” she explained. “They could go to Miami, but not to our show. We already have nine girls. We don’t need any more.”
While Alexia isn’t down on bringing the Skinnygirl mogul into the RHOM fold her co-star Lisa Hochstein said she would be open to the idea of Bethenny joining the show.
“I personally like Bethenny. She’s always really nice to me,” Lisa shared.
Despite the mixed opinions, the former Bravo star has yet to vocalize any interest in joining The Real Housewives of Miami after relocating to Miami from Conneticut with her daughter, Bryn, in April.
The 54-year-old cited “personal and professional reasons” for moving to Miami including her 15-year-old daughter’s well-being which included her athletic and academic goals.
“Something has arisen that made this the best and healthiest decision for myself and my daughter,” Bethenny said on TikTok while announcing her move to the Sunshine State.
“I haven’t been totally honest with you about this move. I’ve been pretty lonely the past five or six years. And it started with the pandemic, which gave me license to be the introvert and insular person that everyone is surprised that I am,” she said, adding that she hopes the move gives her a new lease of life while also allowing her to be more social and have more fun.
Bethenny and Bryn currently live in a $1.7 million condo in Miami’s Faena District that the RHONY OG purchased in June 2024.
While Bethenny is selling her home in Conneticut she plans to keep her residences in New York City and the Hamptons.
