Simon Guobadia, the estranged husband of Porsha Williams, has been released from ICE detention and deported back to his home country of Nigeria, according to Us Weekly.

Tai Savet, a friend and business partner of Simon’s confirmed that the Nigerian born businessman flew back to his homeland a couple of days ago after the 61-year-old was no longer listed on The U.S. Department of Homeland Security website.

Simon is said to be in “good spirits” and would like a sit down with President Trump to discuss his deportation.

The 61-year-old spent months in custody atS tewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, Georgia, after being taken in custody back in February as part of the current administration’s mass deportation efforts.

The former RHOA staple has lived in America since 1982 but reportedly overstayed his visa multiple times. While Simon attempted to gain citizenship throughout the years, he was denied every time.

Simon wed Porsha Williams, of RHOA fame, in November 2022. The 43-year-old reality star filed for divorce in February 2024 after 15 months of marriage.

The two are currently embroiled in a nasty divorce and are fighting over the prenuptial agreement they signed before getting married.

The exes appeared in court on June 11 for a divorce hearing where Simon and Porsha were both expected to appear via video. It’s unclear what is the outcome of said hearing.
