Andy Cohen is shutting down rumors suggesting that The Real Housewives of New York franchise has been placed on an indefinite pause.
The Watch What Happens Live host and Real Housewives executive producer addressed the rumors while resharing a message from Variety editor Kate Aurthur, which read:
“Nothing has happened with the RHONY that’s different from before Bravo made those announcements earlier this week. Weird story!”

Andy later wrote on X, “It’s not cancelled” in response Sonja Morgan and Bethenny Frankel’s posts that the 2022 RHONY reboot was put on indefinite pause after two seasons.

Meanwhile, reports are still swirling that season 16 of RHONY remains in limbo after the cast concluded on season 15 in February.
“Final decisions haven’t been made, and they are seeing if they can find a solution,” an insider shared with Us Weekly on May 9. “The network and producers have been debating whether or not to bring it back.”
The source claims that no one has received a contact for season 16 and that producers are “figuring out how to make it work.”
A big reason why Bravo is reportedly struggling to make the RHONY franchise work moving forward is because the audience failed to connect with the current cast, which consists of Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, Erin Lichy, Brynn Whitfield, and Racquel Chevremont.
“The audience didn’t catch on to the show, and ratings are not what they were with the original cast,” the source explained. “Some of the fans were let down. If you don’t keep the old cast, it becomes a different show, and fans didn’t connect to it.”
“There have been production issues that added to why the network and producers haven’t been sure about its future,” the source added. “There were problems with the cast, especially with Brynn, that turned dark and ugly and changed the dynamic. Whereas before she was a fan favorite the previous season.”
Stay tuned for more on this developing story!
