Real Housewives of Salt Lake City newbie Monica Garcia is proving that she may be the baddest Mormon of the group!
On Tuesday’s episode of RHOSLC, Monica opened up about her Mormon upbringing during a shopping trip with co-star Heather Gay.
While talking with Heather, Monica revealed that she was excommunicated from the Mormon Church “for f—ing my brother-in-law for 18 months.”
Heather, who also left the Mormon Church, was shocked and literally weak in the knees over Monica’s shocking confession.
“My mom converted to the church, so I was pretty much raised in the church. I was married in the temple and then I was excommunicated for f–king my brother-in-law for 18 months,” Monica revealed to a flabbergasted Heather.
“Your husband’s brother?” Heather asked to which Monica clarified, “So, my husband’s sister, her husband.”
Monica explained that she eventually came clean out the affair to her bishop because she “felt guilty.”
According to Monica, she was immediately “shunned from everything and everyone” but her brother-in-law faced zero consequences.
“Genuinely and truly one of the worst experiences of my life,” she told Heather.
